Who Should Attend: Manufacturers, Designers, Professional Crafters

Have you been asked by a manufacturer to demo a product or project on a TV show? Have you discovered a fabulous new technique that you’d like to share over the internet via YouTube, or on your own blog? Have you wondered what is involved in teaching a class online from the comfort of your own home? Join veteran hosts and instructors Julie McGuffee, Kathie Stull and Julie Fei Fan Balzer to learn how to develop, design and prepare a project for presentation on TV or instruction online. We will review the important steps of presenting in front of a camera in a studio setting for either live TV, recorded presentations and videos, or an online class. Additional subjects for discussion will include:

• Working with a host vs. working alone
• Presenting a product to sell vs. teaching a technique
• Presenting yourself: what to wear and what not to wear
• Writing Instructions: make sure your audience can follow along during or after class

Julie McGuffee has been a TV host for the past 12 years, currently as host of the new TV series, Scrapbook Soup. She has also been a spokesperson for manufacturers on QVC, Shop At Home & HSN as well as a series of in store videos. Kathie Stull has been producing instructional videos and over 10 different national “How To” TV craft shows, including the popular shows, Beads, Baubles & Jewels, Scrapbook Memories & Quilting Arts on Public Broadcasting stations across the US. Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is a published Mixed Media Artist who has taught US & overseas and hosts the online show, "Live with Prima" and TV series Scrapbook Soup.
