HOW MANY PRESS KITS ARE NEEDED? About 100 press kits.

GOLDEN PRESS KIT & DESIGNER AWARD COMPETITION SUBMISSION PROCESS: To participate in these awards please follow the guidelines below:

Exhibiting companies will submit ONE creative press kit to the press room no later than 10:00am on July 27, 2010.
  • All press kit award submissions will be put on display in the press room for members of the press to handle and examine.
  • Companies are encouraged to then provide 100 separate standard press kits (with product samples if desired) that will be distributed to the members of the press.
  • Judging will be completed by noon on July 27, 2010 and winners will be announced via press release at the CHA Summer Show on July 28, 2010.

The Golden Press Kit and Designer Press Kit Award Competition submission process was changed in response to requests to reduce the size of press kits, the cost of production for members and to increase exhibitor participation. This new process will alleviate the added expense of providing hundreds of personalized press kits and will increase creativity because it now makes it possible for EVERY exhibitor to submit ONE creative press kit for the Golden Press Kit and Designer Press Kit Award Competition.

Golden Press Kit and the Golden Designer Press Kit awards will be judged by members of the press, CHA Staff and consultants who will select the most innovative press kits. Two runners-up and one Golden Press Kit Award Winner will be announced at the Annual Business Meeting. To enter the Golden Press Kit Award Competition send ONE creative press kit for judging and display to the CHA Show Press Room scheduled to arrive no later than July 27th clearly labeled "Golden Press Kit Award Entry" along with your company name and booth number. For designer members, the Golden Designer Press Kit is also awarded to the top designer press kit submitted.

Designers should send ONE creative press kit for judging and display to the CHA Show Press Room scheduled to arrive no later than July 27th clearly labeled "Designer Press Kit Award Entry".
  • Is this press kit practical and does it contain press materials, samples or examples?
  • Is the press kit and container too large to fit in a suitcase?
  • Does the kit demonstrate creative thinking and highlight crafting?
  • Does the press kit stand out from the crowd?

PHOTOGRAPHY:Please note that there is NO photography permitted on the Show Floor unless photographers and videographers without express written permission. Production companies, videographers, bloggers, and photographers are required to secure CHA permission prior to capturing footage on the Show Floor. Even then photography and video is dependent on an exhibitor’s desire to participate. Exhibitors have the final right to grant or deny permission to capture photography or video of their booth, their products, their staff, workshops and education, to the media or show attendees. Photography and video services for exhibitor use are also available onsite through the Exhibit Services.
