POLICY GOVERNANCE

CHA has undergone many changes over the past several months, culminating in the merger between two powerful forces in the industry - HIA and ACCI. As a result, the CHA Board of Directors adopted a new governing model, Policy Governance, designed to allow the Board to focus on what CHA needs to achieve over the short and long term, delegate aspects of the operation and monitor to ensure that these initiatives occur.

The overall goal is to have a more efficient and effective organization that best utilizes the resources of its volunteer membership force, while eliminating redundancies. The biggest benefit, however, is to CHA's membership. The Board will be accountable to the membership at large in deciding what is needed, thus giving the entire membership a louder voice. Additionally, there will be increased staff focus on customer service for all of our members.

CHA is excited about the possibilities that our new operating structure will afford our members. Click the links below to learn about CHA's new governing policies.
