Nominate a Fellow CHA Member for a 2010 Industry Award
The CHA Awards Committee, chaired by CHA Board of Directors member Linda Augsburg (Prime Publishing/Fave Crafts), is seeking nominations for the CHA 2010 Industry Awards. These awards will be presented during the 70th Annual CHA Winter Convention & Trade Show in Los Angeles, California to be held January 29-February 1, 2011.

Each year, CHA accepts nominations from industry members to identify individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to humanity, the industry and the Association.

The CHA Awards Committee is looking for “deserving CHA Award recipients” in the following award categories:

  • Meritorious Award of Honor – Service to CHA
    The Meritorious Award of Honor is the highest award of recognition that the Craft & Hobby Association can bestow upon an individual member, past or present. This award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Craft & Hobby Association.


  • Industry Achievement Award – Contribution to Craft & Hobby Industry
    The Industry Achievement Award is for a CHA member (i.e. individual, group and/or company) that has made a significant contribution to the growth and vitality of the craft and hobby industry as a whole.


  • Special Recognition Award – Good Deeds
    The Special Recognition Award(s) is presented to a person, group and/or company for their extraordinary contribution in an activity that showcases the craft and hobby industry in a positive way. Award recipient(s) need not be a member(s) of the Association.
In addition to Linda Augsburg, two other CHA Board members sit on the Awards Committee -- Emma Gebo (SIERRA’S) and Mark Hill (Creativity Inc.). Four members-at-large also serve on this committee -- Cheryl Ball (iLoveToCreate), Jim Bremer (Tall Mouse Arts & Crafts), Jim Scatena (FloraCraft Corporation), and Kathie Stull (KS Productions).
