Education at the Summer Show

With the CHA 2010 Summer Convention & Trade Show fast approaching, be sure to take advantage of the great Education line-up for business and craft skills training.
Retailing with Excellence In line with the Retail Revival theme of the Summer Show, special seminars will deliver fierce success strategies for independent and chain retailers to grow their businesses, connect with consumers, and revitalize their sales and marketing approaches:

The National Retail Federation will present key findings of the eighth annual NRF survey Retail Horizons: Benchmarks and Forecasts:

Designer Education Now scheduled during the pre-show Education day Monday, July 26th – these sessions target skill development to help new and experienced Designer members improve the reach, scope and visibility of their businesses:
- S101 Social Networking for Designers – featuring an industry-leading Designer panel
- S103 Designing a Cohesive Brand Identity for Designers – presented by Brenda Pinnick
- S106 Photoshop Techniques for Designers – presented by Helen Bradley
- S107 The Essentials of Licensing – presented by Joanne Fink
New interactive program for ALL members and scheduled on Wednesday, July 28th:
- S115 Designer Roundtable Discussions – a new program in a casual setting to share ideas and brainstorm with other members on topics including color theory, book proposals, professional demonstrating and more

Workshops The CHA 2010 Summer Convention workshop program gives retailers and professional crafters the opportunity to use new products and enhance skills. Taught by leading industry professionals, these hands-on technique training sessions are designed to increase sales by teaching you the latest project applications so you can inspire your customers. Choose from over 30 classes in craft categories including Fashion Crafting, Home Décor, and Jewelry Making. Take a look at some of these fun projects:
