Early Signs of an Improving Economy Favor the CHA 2010 Winter Shows

The signs of a recovering economy were evident at the CHA 2010 Winter Convention & Trade Show and Craft SuperShow at the Anaheim Convention Center where nearly 14,000 industry professionals and craft and hobby enthusiasts gathered for the events.

The CHA 2010 Winter Show featured more than 6,700 trade show attendees, up nearly 5% from the 6,400 attendees visiting the CHA 2009 Winter Show. There was a 40% increase in new exhibitors at the Show with over 100 companies participating for the first time. The number of retail buyers attending the 2010 Winter Show also increased slightly over last year. Exhibiting space at the Anaheim Convention Center totaled 227,000 sq. ft. for both the Trade Show (185,250 sq. ft.) and the Craft SuperShow consumer event (41,288 sq. ft.).
